Sentiment Searching

I’ve been captivated by “sentiment searching.” That is, a query to a social network that can result in real-time data of what people are thinking (and saying) about certain topics. I keep bookmarks to searches that can help me find new trends and sentiments about work-related projects.
Mostly, I use Summize.com for digging around in the Twitter. It gets very interesting sometimes, and I am amazed by how candid people are in this space. I wonder if users realize that “public” tweets are really wide-open on the Internet. Also, I have been using the Realtime Twitter Sentiment (try “Twitter”) app in the lab. How useful. Seriously.

- college search
- south bend indiana (minus the local paper)
This reminds me of the good ‘ole Google Zeitgeist.
